Gender: Female Age: 4 years Species: Snow leopard Pride: Esson Rank: Huntress
Eye color: Mint Green Body Build: Sturdy and agile Fur Length: Medium to long depending on position In-Depth Physical Appearance: Built like a proper aristocratic the leopard is a perfect representation of her breed. Slender at the side and strong at the shoulder Sam makes for a beautiful sight, or would if she managed to sit still long enough to be properly looked at. Well muscled and strong the snow leopard is perfectly built for mountain situations, not that that seems to bother the grassland's she lives in now. Despite this general perfection in her breeding Sam makes up for it all with a heavily scarred pelt. Silver and white with darker rosettes; the woman's battered skin is often hidden from view but when wet or in certain places where the injuries are particularly deep the scars show through clearly.

What made them decide to escape?: Abuse. General fury. History: Born to captivity and a man's well rewarded breeding program Samantha Carter was a prize in the world of big cats. Her blood line had been breed over the last five generations to be perfect by human standards. Perfection has a cost however, and the parents mentalities was the price. Samantha and her siblings were subjected to a vicious demand for brilliance from the moment they could hear. As such the three cubs were raised in a state of constant terror of their parents and a desperate need to prove themselves. It made Sam into a little monster. Even as a young child she thought of herself as inadequate and depressed. Alexander was always the best. The boy. It was infuriating. Samantha was always the tom-boy, always fighting to be seen as the same as her brother. Because he was an asshole and she was just as good as him. In the furious race between Alexander and her, Elizabeth was thrown to the side and ignored. When it ultimately ended in the sister hating her Sam found she regretted that distance more then anything else.
As time went on Sam began to detest the very essence of her life. Born into a breeder's facility one would make the assumption that they would be used to continue of their perfect genes. This wasn't something that Sam had any interest in it. Ever. It was a thing that she and her parents differed on greatly. Samantha had never truly questioned her sexuality. It simply was. And it simply was utterly revolting and traumatizing when the human who ran their breeding sanctuary began his attempts to get her to carry the next generation. Deterring rape multiple times it all ended in disloyalty. Unbreedable Samantha was sold. Away form her family and away from everything she's ever known the young Snow leopard looked into the face of a new life, and found it even worse then previous. Finding herself in a brand new world Sam became a fighter. Her old owner didn't care enough about his 'genetic failure' to check up on her new owner and the feline paid the price of such actions.
At two years of age Sam became an illegal fighting animal. It was harsh and unforgiving but after the initial terror of her new situation Samantha slowly began to appreciate her world. Unlike the previous human she could prove herself. Make herself better. Yet the scars began to build up. The pain began to be too much. Violent as she was the woman couldn't really devote herself to war any longer. It hurt and it was useless. Such ideas however were lost on her human owner, and until her 2nd birthday Sam was forced time and again to fight and scar and scream. Finally battered bruised and broken the silver leopard stole off in the form of a drunken rage on her master's part. Slipping into the wilds she found a life rough with troubles but far far better then those she had previously lived through. For six months Sam ran wild, half starved but brilliantly alive. Yet so tired. Life had taught her to trust no one and believe in nothing. As such she ran about in her lonesome, avoiding anyone who came anywhere near her.
It was in this state that the leopard began to develop her wild self. A new self. Sam took this second chance at reinventing herself very seriously, and as such fought against what she knew to be the worst of her personality. Simply put the woman was a social pariah. She couldn't keep a conversation running and still to this day has trouble with social conventions having never really learned them properly. Determined in some small part to make nice she helped out everyone she came across. It became a bit of a problem in which Sam having nothing better to do became a bit obsessed and a bit over worked. She never really associated with anyone for very long, only doing a quick chore and scuttling off. But then. Suddenly it changed. Seeing a rather harassed cheetah fighting rather hard to get away from a group of humans the snow leopard had lept to the challenge. There was nothing she hated more then man after all.
It was in this single act that everything changed. That cheetah turned into a burr that wouldn't leave her alone that turned into a friend that was closer to her then anyone she had ever known. Growing closer to Kite had been easy. Too easy. The smaller girl was so bright and energetic. She was everything Sam had ever tried to be. Not only that, but the wholly unbiased way she welcomed the scared snow leopard in drew Sam's entire being forward. The battle was lost before it even began. It was all too sappy and pathetic and a thing Sam doesn't often talk about but secretly holds incredibly close; the day they finally did actually get together. She'd never been happier. Having lived life through a very sheltered isolated place the feline had suddenly found a person to give herself to completely without consequence.
Then Ivan had come along. The lad had been all alone. It was Kite who found him huddled in some little grass alcove. They had drug the poor kid into their little family before the sun had gone down. Wandering for a good month or so the trio ran upon Esson in surprise and deeply curious Sam had agreed with the joining that Kite seemed so enthused about.
