This is something I wrote last Friday for an English warmup. I had to describe a sunset to a blind person, had never seen colors or anything. I read it out today in class and everyone's jaws dropped so I really wanted to share it with you guys ^^
The sunset is pretty, I think. It has a lot of colors that blend together, like two people trying to get closer together and you can't tell where one starts and the other ends. It starts out bright; the sun is orange-red. When you get hot, and you've stayed out in the sun too long, you turn an angry color. This is softer, like being close to a fire, and the warmth is slowly spreading. The red-orange starts to cool down, turn pink. Pink is like affection; it's warm and soft and it doesn't push your eyes. It's faded, not bright. There's yellow in between it all, like being happy. You're bright and can feel yourself shaking from excitement. That's yellow. And suddenly, blue starts coming in, starting soft and light but getting darker and deeper, kind of purple. It's like falling asleep. Your senses are there and you feel it all. Then you're drifting and things are letting you be. It turns peaceful. And then, stars. They're like dreams. That's why people wish on them.

o.o Moon....I just.....oh my gracious, this is amazing. I especially love that last bit about stars being dreams, which is why you wish on them. This just made me forget that I am in a terribly foul, worn-out mood. You just changed my whole frazzle of frayed emotions with one paragraph. -clings-
