Harry and Truffles had more kids today. Irwin and Lester's siblings...Truffles birthed 3 healthy kids, all black and white. Fortunately, none look like Irwin. They all have the the boer ears, like Lester. And none of them have the black streak down their back. But they did get their grandmother's colors (black white) like Irwin did.
The real unfortunate thing is that Truffles was very ill when she birthed her sons last time, as you all know. In that illness, she lost one of her udders. We knew we would have to help feed her kids should she continue having twins--but triplets? This is going to be a bumpy ride. God, give me strength. At least she is a good mother, unlike Chickpea. The kids will be able to stay with Truffles, we will just have to help feeding them. After about 2 months, that is what Lester was doing. Irwin was not strong enough to join the herd, but Lester was open to having both moms. I hope these kids are as adaptable as Lester was.
One female, two males. Fuck.

The 2 boys were sleeping and truffles kept trying to nap, but the little girl was being a brat and yelling and "running" around. So I picked her up and sat on the milking stand and in seconds she was asleep :-) Attachments:

Haha, you were wet and sticky when you were a newborn, too ;-) Want to know something really gross? Truffles wiped one of the placentas on me when I was feeding one of the boys. I don't get skeeved easily, but I was a little grossed out about having placenta blood on my pj pants.

Another baby was born yesterday (another boy...of course). I didn't mention it yesterday because I have been busy--the baby is a neglect case. Oddly, it is the sister of Grace's mom that is the mother this time. So something just isn't right with Stoichiometry's two girls. Which is really strange because she was the most over-protective, over-bearing mom ever. Anyway, I am feeding this new boy by simply holding Penelope (his ma) and forcing her to let him nurse. It is working...but can anyone else say sexual assault charges? -shot- Now I have to do this until he is weaned (or actually until I move...I don't know what will happen after that). Everyone else at my house is actually employed so they can't exactly go outside every few hours and hold down a goat.

Well, Truffles has sort of adopted the orphan. She hasn't let him nurse (nor would I let her do that--3 is more than enough for her one udder) but she has began to groom him and let him hang around her and her kids. This is good for him--Truffles' 3 kids are playing and sleeping with him now and already I have seen a major difference in him. He was starting to get lethargic, clearly depressed...now he is up running and jumping with them. Penelope is starting to relate feeding him, with getting food. I am able to completely let go of her while he feeds now for about a minute before she starts flipping out. Better than before where I had to restrain her full strength every second he fed.
