Personality: The man can be both brutal and kind, considerate and arrogant. He was once a man run by pure hate and disgust, finding great pleasure in the misery of others. But time has changed the boy, matured him. He cares for his pride as a family, aiding those unable to aid themselves. He gives a helping paw on a hunting, and lets cubs be cubs while mothers are mothers. The boy does his duty with pride, willing to die for his family, not letting male tactics get the better of him. He has seen what blind fury and strength can do to a man, can do to a powerful alpha like Ezhno. He won't let Akando go through that again. He won't let Izaray be without a mate. He won't let his children never know who their father is.
Despite all this, Ackecheta still holds his lethal temper. He is lenient with cubs and hormonal mothers, but holds all others accountable for their actions. He demands respect and obedience, but does not punish with death as Ezhno had done. Softness is frowned upon and he will often whack at a lioness who babies a child too far. He teaches cats how to fight mercilessly, caring selfishly only for his family. Izaray is still the light of his world, and he will back her up in most situations. However, he is confident enough in their relationship to question her methods if the need arises. He does not disapprove in physical punishment, but he does not use it as first resort as he once had. He understand everyone has their own views and opinions, though he tends to sometimes hold Izaray's higher in the petistool than the other cats'.
The man is still arrogant, though not as boldly so as he once was. He will take into consideration the ideals of others, though in the end, his is the one he follows. Sometimes, however, if enough cats speak the same idea, his own mind will fold to see that as the proper course of action. So he is still following his own superior brain, just not in the direction he had been originally. He thinks his pride to be blinded by concepts he does not understand, and he does not want to lead them with a blind hate that is equally as debilitating. He knows that he and Izaray must keep clear, open minds in order to carry Akando out of the the trench Ezhno's stupidity dug them into.
The brute is defensive of his pride, but he will gladly sacrifice every cat to protect his dear Izaray--his childhood sweetheart and forever lover. The man has a big heart made of steel. He is willing to accept other lions gracefully, but will not stand for cowardice. This plays into his defensive nature. He wants the strongest pride so as to keep his mistress safe from the world. However, he knows when stand back and submit. Enemies he has no hope of defeating will be allowed some leash if they are willing to tolerate a treaty. This is his view towards Vea Apxn--he gives them some leeway, and surely they will provide some shelter, or at least prove themselves harmless, towards Akando.
History: He was born in the United States forests, child to the rejected losers of the kingdom. His father was physically strong, but mentally was a kitten. His mother was the same way, and both disgusted him. After close to four months with the pathetic fools, he needed to rid himself of them. Faking his own tumbling into a river, Ackecheta caused his father to try and jump to his rescue. The river swallowed the old male, and then the lioness as well when she tried to save her mate. Now free, the cub made his way through forests and valley's, searching for a pride worthy of his being.
It did not take long for young Ackecheta to tumble across a distracted princess-- she literally collided with him. After helping her and her father fight off intruders, the alpha left the decision up to this princess whether or not Ackecheta could join Akando. The young male was thrilled when the princess said he should, for both female cub and alpha seemed a ruthless pair of kin, and two beings worthy of Ackecheta's presence. It didn't take long for Ackecheta to fall for the princess, Izaray, and her sharp tongue.
Ackecheta was hurt only once, by an elder posing as a younger. The older cub, Dumi, repayed with the forfeit of his life, which Ackecheta stole, on Ezhno's demand. The disgrace gone, Ackecheta has been able to focus his mind on the newest rival, Jasninon. That male is threat because if he stole Izaray, he'd also steal the heir to the pride.
Ackecheta has helped in the battle against Zonta Pride but they lost as a result of Ende Pride shamefully retreating into the underbrush. Since then he has allowed an injured Folami to reside until death in the group, knowing the dog's pack could be a potential threat, and also holding a guarded sympathy. The injured brute wanted to spend his last days with his adopted daughter that had run from him prior to his injury--Abeni. The man stayed in Akando until he died, at which time he and Abeni went and gathered Vea Apxn so they could come and say some final words to the fading man. Since this time there has been a treaty upheld between the two groups, a way to further protect Ackecheta's dear Izaray. Finding one of Vea Apxn's dogs breaking the treaty by tearing apart Taka has pierced Ackecheta's heart in indecision, however. The treaty was only agreed to by him because it would be a way to protect Izaray. His family would never attack a Folami--so, really, if he tears apart the treaty, wouldn't that only damage Akando? His mind is not yet made up whether to go and speak to Carska about it, yet--maybe the Vea Apxn dog was acting out of line and Carska still has every intention of upholding the gift of protection in thanks for letting the pack come and mourn a dying brother.
