Do they favor their birth-country, or the USA grounds?: USA Personality: Desperate for love the boy tends to be extremly annoying. He wants others to like him but he is a total klutz and says the wrong things constantly. Ciel is a bit of a dork. He is loud and obnoxiouse at times, trying to keep himself known. The boy has trouble leting people go, and will stalk if nessicary. He doesn't understand the term 'personal space' and likes to cuddle. Ciel is extremly fearful about loosing people, and he tends to jump to conclusions because of it.
He generally thinks everyone hates him. He takes ever word to mean something bad. Ciel isn't cynical, he simple doesn't like to be proven wrong. The cheetah hates falling behind, and will do just about anything to repair a friendship. For Ciel betrayal does not exist. Destroy him, he doesn't care. He probably earned it. But your still paying him heed. Ciel still holds a place in your heart large enough to be torn at.
Everything is his fault, and it always has been. The boy becomes quiet and fearful when bad thigns occur; awaiting his punishment. If that punishment doesn't come he gets antsy and worried. Such things tend to mean its going to be horrid. Because of this the boy has become a small bit of a masochist. Ciel does not openly look for pain of injure himself as another in Zonta does. But he takes an odd pleasure when another hits him.
History: A cheetah's life is difficult. The thin creatures are born on the bottom of the ranks when it comes to cats and are in a constant state of stress. Despite this many cheetah families have the highest cub survival rate amongst African big cats. Ciel's family shows this off rather well. Born into a litter of four the child did not have the experience of death at a young age. No sibling died by any means, and with such an easy beginning the cub came to think of life as a good thing. Bitterness was non existent, and childish joys could infuse his heart.
At the age of a year the boy had yet to loose his playfulness. Though this helped with his training it was still a rather annoying conundrum for his more serious siblings. Jealousy began to develop around the carefree yearling. He had always been mum's favorite. Always been the one she compared to 'daddy'. He was always the one to get a lick when it wasn't needed. His siblings began to despise his openly cub like mind. And when the time came when the family began to move in the customary pack like mob they effectively shoved him to the back of the group.
Within the next few months his world was shattered. A lion angry at his loss when it came to an old pride took his fangs to the man's mother. The siblings scattered, and in terror they could do nothing but watch. In that moment with their vision steeped in red the family drew closer, and hearts shattered. Innocence was lost. Ciel found his eyes forced to see the blackness of the world. He became a bit more composed, finding his maturity and accepting it into his heart.
But life is hard, and when food became short the pecking order revolted. Ciel had always been on the bottom, and now he was blamed for everything. Everything was his fault. Under the pressure the man twisted and whined. It was his fault. Everything was his fault. Yes it was, of course it was. With a bleak smile he took his punishments, because in his head he deserved them. The king cheetah was unaware of his siblings plottings. For as food became thinner the plans to remove one or two of their fold became more apparent. Closer to actually happening. Family ties are only so strong, and in the face of death Ciel's little cheetah family began to fall apart.
When push came to shove the siblings began to shove. Ciel and company found themselves in the middle of a raid. Humans upon their land moved up to the weak staring family and prepared to pounce. They scattered, but something inexplicably caught Ciel's foot. It was Terra's paw. She had tripped him. The boy went down in a pile of limbs and lay in terror and hurt as the family ran away. Because they wern't his family anymore. The humans had set upon him and blackness took over. When he awoke he had been crated and with his prized rare pelt coloration he had already been sold.
The man was not bad. Ciel took warmth from the fat jolly human. The one who petted him and drew the cheetah up to his bed. Not all the humans around the man liked Ciel. The son of the master for one, though his father mad. Ciel was a wild creature! To think the jolly father slept in the same bed as the cat. Not that it mattered much. The wild animal would never hurt the father. The one who fed and loved him. But that did not matter either. For all things end, and such a reality had begun to sink into the young feline's mind as one night the man simply stopped moving.
And what sorrow it wrought. For them all. The son who had bickered constantly was never seem to not be crying. Ciel was deeply upset. It would seem no place lasted forever. Not even the perfection of the jolly man's bed. The son released him, or else chased him fromt he property. And Ciel ran. He did not want to kill the son too. Because it had been he who killed the man, not age. It was he who brought misfortune.
Despite his silent vow never to join another again, Ciel wavered in the face of lonliness. And when it became too great he slipped amongst those of the north. Those who had survived war. He slid into their ranks and hoped they too would not suffer from his misery.
