Personality:
Jazz is what one would call a high esteemed girl. She's both confident and arrogant, never having faced a situation she couldn't handle. Her human's had spoiled her, thus giving her the mindset that she is royalty. When the world does not spin on her demand, she can get childish, throwing a tantrum, and screaming what she would call "foul language" (though she was raised in a proper household, so foul language follow British terms).
Once Jazz is made a friend of another, however, she is a ruthless guardian. Her life means nothing when those she cares for are in jeapordy. She finds herself humbled before danger, not because of fear, but because of loyalty to her family. No life is spared for she is a violent persuader, willing to tack on the term murderer for her friend's safety.
As can be expected, even Jazz's friends are not exempt from her hot tongue. She's quick tempered and defensive, not willing to come out and admit when she is wrong. She will, however, crawl sheepishly over and grovel if it looks like the friendship could be terminated because of her pig-headedness. Social by nature because of her breed, she can not bare to lose those who have tolerated her enough to become close partners.
A lover of laughter and adventure, Jazz is one of those cats who bursts out in a fit of giggles of exasperation when her own bone is sticking from the soft tissues of her own body. She is literally one who can say "I laugh in the face of danger!" and mean it. However, if a friend is hurt, she will do all in her power to force them to rest and to have them make a hasty healing. All will be sacrificed for the comfort and joy of an injured comrad.
Everything about Jazz demands respect, no matter the opposers size. She is one who will walk up to a full grown Folami with total confidence, bare her fangs, and say "Bring it, flea bag."
What made them decide to escape?: She didn't escape, her human simply passed onto the next world so she and her best friend live on their own now.
History:
Jazz can not remember a time before her household. She didn't know her roots, she only knew her humans. For two months that is all she had to know. She was spoiled and the center of the humans' world. Jealousy set in for a time when her people adoped an abandoned dog, but that was tossed aside after many innocent wars with the canine.
At four months of age, the dog was two months, and Jazz finally accepted that she was never going to be an only child again. This mindset placed, Jazz came to love her new companion, and the two fed off each other's attitudes. Adventures were constant, all the way until that chapter of life was closed. Their mommy had been gone for a little while by then, daddy telling them she had gone to the next world. He joined her when Jazz was almost six and a half months, Ashley being about four and a half months. The two, missing daddy, decided to fill the void with some exploring. When they returned, they could no longer enter the home.
So they left. Left without knowledge of survival. Left with nothing but each other. Left with the knowledge that either that had to be enough, or they too would join the next world with mommy and daddy.
But, hey, Jazz knew she could handle it. Nothing under God's blue sky could harm them as long as she was around.
A short while after running off, Jazz and Ashley came across a Folami, feline pair. After some heated unease on the folami's and Jazz's part, the four have become an awkward family.
