Personality: Anna is, in human terms, depressed. She prefers to be with only her cubs, occassionally allowing Ilyich and Tuma to interact with them. She can be smothering to her young, allowing them only a few feet away, even when they are old enough to wander. She's secretive, not sharing who the father is with anyone, though she does realize they probably all know. When her temperment is good, she does enjoy a quiet laugh. Her defensiveness of her three cubs is dangerous. She could seriously injure someone if they even mention the idea of her and Onida loving each other (thus setting the thought that perhaps Onida was the father in the cubs' head), or is someone mentions Ahote's name in refrence to him being her son.
History: As most of her kind was, she was born into a wild world. Her life was no better there then it was with the Murder Apes, her parents never really wanting a cub. Even with their hate and inability to love her, Anna (whom was simply called Kit at the time) felt hatred for the Murder Apes when they killed the two adults and took her into their arms. Not very long after being given to the humans, she was bred with another of her kind. She didn't love him, but the two had agreed to mate because if they failed to do so, the male would be slaughtered. Not long after, Anna was blessed with her son. Her new 'owners' named her Anna, which they knew as meaning mother in Native American. Deciding she wanted her son to have a comfortable life, she escaped with him during his early days.
Many months went by before Anna and Ahote came across a lone lion, Onida. With Ahote's enthusiastic suggestion, the three formed a pride, leading to Anna and Onida falling in love. But after a few months of this, Anna was taken by Murder Apes once more, though these were, fortunatly, kind ones. They merely captured her to heal a leg wound, then released her a month later. Anna believed her son and beloved to be dead, so she search to find a way to die. She came across Tuma, who sprouted the idea that perhaps Ahote and Onida were alive. The two traveled together for a month before they refound Zonta. Ahote hated Anna, causing Anna to coil into herself.
Layla, and old friend of Onida's, stumbled across Zonta. With Onida's attention taken up by the lost friend, anguishing thoughts were left to fester in Anna's head. She believed Onida was in love with Layla, therefore, she did not tell him she was carrying his cubs. To add to the misery, her hateful son joined Zonta's enemy, Ende Pride. During all of this, Anna's only sanity was her relationships with Ilyich and Tuma. It started off just being Tuma, but Ilyich became more her sanity than him. The leopardess' need for a mother brought forward compassion that Anna had been lacking.
Onida was killed, leaving Anna to run Zonta pride while she was pregnant. Now that she has birthed the cubs, she needs all the help she can get from her only two friends; Tuma and, especially, Ilyich.
