Kunabee,
First and foremost, none of this is your fault. Make sure you realize that and let it sink fully into your head. So many teens and kids fall into depression, become reclusive or reserved, thinking they are the reason a family failed. But it isn't you. By the sounds of it, your father has the issues and though I hate pointing fingers, it is his fault. He has let the Devil consume him and that never turns out well....
Second, thank you for sharing. This is one of those dark, beautiful pieces that can be so inspiring to those going through similar situations. We all love you here on Broken Truths, we're a family. We can be honest with each other and have faith with each other if all else fails. Thank you for trusting us with this, Kunabee. No matter what happens, we will always be here with you. If you ever need anything at all, I know I have said this before, but email me. I will get it instantly to my phone and I will respond just as quickly.
Last and most important, keep trusting God. No matter what happens, always remember that it is in His hands. Sometimes He handles things in a way that we don't like or understand, but we just have to know that His actions and timing are perfect. It will all work out best for you in the end. He loves you on a deep, personal way and He is so proud that you have called out to Him in your time of need. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, so even when it seems that God is not hearing you (or worse, ignoring you), know that He is aware and already working it out. But He likes persistant people, so never stop asking Him. If this is all still going on several years down the road, still pray about it every night. Never ever stop no matter what. The Devil will work so hard to make you think your prayers are being overlooked, to make you doubt God or think you did something that has caused God to turn away, but don't fall for it! Keep your chin up and flex those spiritual muscles. Every trial in life is placed their carefully for a reason. God makes you suffer, not to make you nothing, but to make you something.
“Suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.” (Romans 5:3-4)
Love now and forever,
Lindsay Lagasse
