Guys, Newol is one hell of a happy, but worried, camper right now. As I'm sure any of you who know me better from a hole in the ground, you'd also know my favorite animal is infact the wolf. I love wolves, they are amazing and wonderful creatures. I'm a grade A through and through Gear Head, and I'd but down my wrench and drive a car off ethanol synthetic fuel for half the performance and power in a heart beat if it meant keeping the at risk species from dieing out, thats how I care about them.
Here recent, a wolf named OR-7 and now more commonly as Journey, has made it all the way from a pack in a Oregon Reserve to none other than California in search of a mate. He has traveled far and long. Its the kind of story book journey stuff that is common in my wolves' stories. Covering great spans of land, an endless collection of miles, questing for a place to truly belong. Now, I know its not quite as dramatic for OR-7, but it still just amazing for me.
The simple fact that this is a land mark in the return of this species is simply amazing in its self for everyone who cares. He's two years old so he's young, healthy, and strong. I hope in finds a nice fea and I pray, daily now, that he stays safe of the hunters and those that view his kind as monsters. Population growth is population growth, for their kind is good no matter where it happens. This going on in a state that hasn't had a standing wolf population in over 80 years is just an added bonus in my opinion.
I don't normally ask this kind of thing often, but here lately I've been doing alot of things I don't do often so here it goes.
Pray to your gods of you got em boys and girls, I'm beggin ya. It would be just awful to wolf lovers all over the world if this guy took a bullet.
