Do they know what a human is?: Yes Do they oppose the foreign breeds being on their land?: No preference
Personality: Wile his brother holds high esteem for the alpha West is not so sure of the man who claims to be an extension of god. West has never been the most trusting of people. He is the backbone after all, and he must avoid being broken. He is the child of order, and he likes his order to be regimented and well maintained. Strangers don't function into that system. This heart they search for is something he doesn't understand. At all. What the hell did that even mean? Every cat in the pride had been trained to ignore their own emotions and take on those of their virtue. So what the hell was a heart?
The boy is a child of militaristic standing. He barks rather then speaks, and he barks orders. Wile North is leader he is second in command and the more snappish of the two. Though he adores his siblings the breaking of order sends him into anxious fits. He speaks little to his siblings and not at all to those stranger he is meant to look for. The small pride that North runs must be maintained by him and he takes his task very seriously. There will be no mistakes. If his primary function was that of the spine then his second was that of the nerves. His words when spoken are the most important he can think of. The boy dose not speak without reason.
He accepts North's leadership, not out of grace but out of intelligence and general logic. North is wisdom. He was trained to be the mind. He would be the mind. The commander in chief. West has never had ambitions for anything above his current rank of general in the group of four. And though he wishes he had a say in their next step he would never question North, the boy is too well trusted. That is a thing he would never go against, the trust. West's trust is a hard thing to earn but its a link of galvanized steel that will never break no matter what salt wounds its fringes.
History: Born to a highly religious cult of lions farther south the cubs were raised to believe that their alpha was god. He bestowed upon them great gifts when they came of age. Virtues. The greatest of virtues, 13 in total, were given singularly to cubs on their fifth month of life.
Silence; To The South. Order; To The West. Wisdom; To The North. Resolution; To The East.
The children were taught to work as if they were one being. Wile North became their head south became their ears. Wile West became their backbone East became their legs. They could not exist alone. They had been brainwashed into a strict personality that worked badly when not with the others. But they were separated.
At seven months they were sent into their name sakes, into the cardinal directions. Their Alpha said God would bring them back together. They trusted him with their entire souls. It has been a month and wile West and East have found one another and flounder about in search of their siblings they are having little luck. They were not allowed to return to their pride until they have gained a fifth member to their group. Their heart.
Their Alpha said they must find the fifth member of their jumbled single form for them to be complete. And so search they did. They never found that fifth member. North grew tired and hurt. South grew anxious and somehow more silent. West became cross and cold. East became harsh and violent. They were not allowed to return. And still they clung to one another in fear. They didn't know how to live separately. Such things were impossible.
Desperate, North led them back home, trying to persuade their alpha. Nothing was heard. For two weeks they were held in public prison. The failures. Then they were forced out into their cardinal directions in the sands. And once again they must find one another. They are all each other have, and the only way the others can live. As ten month old cubs, they conceded they had little hope unless with the others.
Currently West and East have found each other and whimper along in search of their brother and sister. After a particularly bad fight with a jackal West has gained a limp on his right side.
